We're home, and while we are sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful vacation/honeymoon, we're happy to see our family, friends, house, kitty, patio, flowers, vehicles, stacks of mail, piles of kitty vomit (more on that later), dusty piano, and our own bed to sleep in. What a trip! What a honeymoon! What an amazing experience. I personally have never in my life had such a wonderful and unforgettable time. I will cherish these memories for lifetimes to come.
Our home was stale and dingy. We had turned off the air thinking that all would be fine, and by the beginning of the third week, my sister, who was taking care of our house and kitty for us, ended up turning the air back on because the house was melting. Ugh. When we finally made it home after our horrendous airport experience, it was a little dense inside... with smells of kitty and staleness. Our poor kitty... she looked lost and disoriented. Even though my sister spent time with her every day we were gone, our kitty had passed into a delirious state of neediness like no other. So sad... we're so sorry Darcy... we love you :)
After we aired out the home and unpacked, we had family over to share stories and show off our precious swag. Me... I bought a couple of pieces of amazing and colorful Murano Glass, a Venitian Mask, some jewelry and glass from Greece, etc. Stanley sported some daggers, glass ash tray, Venetian Mask, super penis-man Greek God statuary, Greek vase, and Murano Glass as well. All in all, we had great things to show everyone. The kids as well received a great many gifts from the two of us and all was well.
We're now enjoying getting back into the swing of life, working on the various things that need to be done around the house... emails, stacks of mail and bills, organizing and unpacking, going through wedding gifts, writing thank you cards, etc, etc, etc.
Life is good!
